Foreign Linguists Work on Translated Versions of the Report Delivered by Xi Jinping

October 18, 2017: Mustafa Mohamed Ahmed Yahia is interviewed in Beijing. He is a linguist responsible for the Arabic version.

Nine foreign linguists were invited to edit the translated versions of the report delivered by Xi Jinping at the opening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on October 18, 2017. This was the first time since China’s reform and opening up that anyone except Chinese experts has worked on such material.

October 15, 2017: Konrad Hartmut Luening is interviewed in Beijing. He is a linguist responsible for the German version.

October 14, 2017: Keovichith Lamngeun is interviewed in Beijing. He is a linguist responsible for the Lao version.

October 15, 2017: Peggy Cantave Fuyet is interviewed in Beijing. She is a linguist responsible for the French version.

October 14, 2017: Holly Snape is interviewed in Beijing. She is a linguist responsible for the English version.

October 14, 2017: Josep-Oriol Fortuny Carreras is interviewed in Beijing. He is a linguist responsible for the Spanish version.
