Handbook to Translating Chinese Political Terms Released

A handbook on translation of Chinese political terms was released at the annual conference of the Translators Association of China (TAC) on November 9, 2019, in Beijing.

The handbook was jointly published by three subsidiaries of China International Publishing Group (CIPG), including the Foreign Languages Press, Beijing Review and the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies.

The handbook features translations from Chinese to nine languages including English, French, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, German, Portuguese and Korean. It is expected to provide reference for translators engaged in various fields of foreign communication and foreign affairs, and play a positive role in improving the quality of translations and promoting standardized translation of political terms.
