Upholding Party Leadership Is the Prerequisite of Achieving the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation

The great practice of reform and opening up has a profound revelation for the future: Without the leadership of the Party, it would be impossible to secure the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and national rejuvenation would not be much more than wishful thinking. The Chinese people have embarked on a new journey of socialism with Chinese characteristics. To achieve the Two Centennial Goals and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, countless barriers, adversities and difficulties must be overcome. Essentially, realizing such great goals and overcoming risks and challenges along the way demand the Party to play a leading role. To meet the new requirements of development of the Party and the country in the new era, inclusion of “The defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the leadership of the Communist Party of China” in the Constitution, which recognizes the Party’s leadership in state governance as the defining feature of socialism, is conducive to maintaining the Party’s leadership in all aspects of China’s political and social activities and ensuring that the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics always moves forward along the right track.
